What’s your reason?

As many of you know… my fitness journey has been, and will continue to be a long one. I was thinking earlier today about how my loosing 20 pounds earlier this year is where I would have stopped…at least the old me. So what changed? Why do I keep trucking on?
Well probably because I am a mom now. I know that plays a huge part for me. I want to be healthy so I can run, jump, and play…and be around as long as possible. I also feel the need to set a good, active example for Tristan.
You know, before he came into my life, I would diet or workout sporadically at best. Once I became pregnant, I knew I needed to change… but honestly thought I would always be too busy to take care of myself.
It is funny how kids change you.
So although I feel like beating myself up for not doing these things sooner- pre-kiddo… I have to stop myself and say” better late than never”
I am happy to report that I have started the couch to 5k yesterday, and it went really great. My new shoes also totally rock. Just saying.
