Going "crunchy" one day at a time…

Talking down the jumper

This is how I feel every time Tristan gets on the couch (specifically he likes to get on the arm or back of the couch near the edge) and dangles his little body parts over.  I swear he is just taunting me! It’s like he’s going “Look ma! I just might do it! BAWHAHAHAHA!”

I find myself talking to him in the same voice I might use with a building jumper. “Ok, Tristan… just come down and everything will be ok.  It’s not worth it! Don’t do it!”

He always gives me the same devilish grin too.  He knows he isn’t supposed to do it, but yet it is so appealing to see mommy’s reaction. Oh, and play with the light switches.  Did I mention how quick he is too?  Turn my head for a second and BAM! He’s up there and trying to see how close he can get to the edge without actually falling.

Well at least right now he is torturing petting the cat, so at least he isn’t threatening to jump…for now.
