Alot has happened since May. I haven’t updated because I couldn’t talk about some things - such as my pregnancy - until other people had found out first. Let’s see…
We had a roommate named Tom who moved in and worked with Chris for about 2 months. Chris had been busy with his Texas A&M job during the day and then in the evenings and weekends he was working on Cerberus projects. I only saw him for dinner and bed time for about 3 months time (which was the hardest months of this pregnancy since I was 24/7 sick). Tom was also helping with the Cerberus projects in addition to the Texas A&M job too. Anyhow the major push the project just finished about…mmm I think 2 weeks ago or so and Chris promised to take time off to relax and spend time with me. Needless to say I had been incredible lonely for those three months. My phone doesn’t really work at home, so I can’t easily call my family, and I didn’t have any companydurning the day time - and certainly not at night either. I mentioned this several times, but there was nothing to be done because Chris simply didn’t have time. Anyways, after everything was finally done, we decided to take a relaxing trip to go float down a river a couple hours away…and in general just have a fun day without the stresses of work. Oh and during the major push for the project we also gained a new roommate, Ben, who is a good friend to Chris. He has been wonderful to have around since he helps out a lot around the house (at least compared to Tom). Anyhow, back to tubing. We invited Ben and Tom to come with us and just have lots of fun - as friends often do. Ben agreed to come, and Tom said he wasn’t feeling up to it. So we went and had a great time on July 3rd (trying to avoid the July 4th rush!), and after tubing ate at Joe’s crabshack…which was super yummy. Meg even was able to meet up with us while we were finishing eating to visit for a little while. It was a nice day and we didn’t get back until about 11:30pm or so. Tom had messaged Chris saying he was going to Houston, which wasn’t unheard of for him on the weekends. Ben then mentioned that his toothpaste was gone and that Tom had cleaned out his toiletries from the common bathroom. Chris and I thought nothing of this though since it seemed Tom was going to be gone for the night…I mean…I’d take my stuff too for over night visits. Any how the next day (July 4th) Chris and I hung around the house until it was time to go have dinner with his family. So we headed out, had another yummy dinner that his mom made, and just in general enjoyed a little family time. We eventually headed back home and were getting a bit concerned that we hadn’t heard from Tom since he still wasn’t home. Mind you, Ben had to buy new toothpaste since his was missing. Anyhow, Chris finally checked Tom’s room…only to find it cleaned out completely.
