I hate dog slime…but…

We have a new dog now…mostly as a friend for Sophie (who I will give an update on later).  We have named her Hime (pronounced Hee-Meh) which means princess in Japanese.  She was completly untrained when we got her this past Monday, but I have already taught her sit, laydown, drop it, go to bed, and of course come.  She just doesn’t like to come up stairs (probably because she got a bath her first time).  She is white with a cream colored saddle on her back.  She is a mix supposedly of german shepard and husky.  I think she must have something else too though because one of her ears stands up, and the other is floppy…which is cute.  She feels compelled to LICK everything!  I know most dogs lick…but she licks more then most lol.  So far she is doing well…and she is picking up my rules and training pretty quickly, but does get distracted by Sophie (and vice versa).

Sophie LOVES her though.  She has really missed having a doggy friend to play with, and she now has that again.  Sophie herself has been doing super well with training at home.  She now does not spend time in her kennel unless we are not at home.  She sleeps in our room and has the run of the house.  As she proves herself more and more she earns new freedoms….such as being able to be free in the house for short periods of time while we are gone.  I have been really pleased with her the past couple of months.  How lucky we are to have such a good house dog…and hopefully another to come

Besides the new dog, things have been alright for me.  School keeps me very busy.  I am taking 16 credit hours, and it seems like it is never ending.  Sadly, I think piano is one of my hardest classes for me.  However, so many day I feel very fortunately to be in a place where I get to not only listen to some amazing music, but also create it as well.  I am very much hoping that the rest of this semester goes well and that I don’t have too many problems.

Oh and a random thought I had this week…

People who freckle should not try to go get a tan.  They just come out looking like a brown uneven blob.  Pale with cute freckles is so much better.
