pet peeve

This is something that Chris and I were talking about today…

Pretty much the idea is that I think most people in this world are actually terrible people.  I know that’s a sad view to have, but I believe that just about everyone in my life is going to let me down.  There is literally only a handful of people that I expect to follow through with their promises.  In general I assume someone is going to not be a good friend to me, unless proven otherwise.  I’ve had too many friends walk over me and hurt me, and I just refuse to deal with that anymore.  Prove to me that you are worth keeping as a close friend or just face the fact that I will likely never believe what you promise (and this can go for family too sometimes).  More often then not, I am correct in my predictions of peoples actions. 9 times out of 10 they don’t do what they say.  You know, the funny thing is that although I’d be hurt for instance if someone said “I don’t want to hear you sing”…at least you’re honest.  It hurts a 100 times more if you say you’ll do something for me/with me/ be a part of something and then just decide not to follow through.  Just be honest with me and yourself about what you are and are not willing to do.  And just so my readers know…this isn’t directed at one person, but rather a couple.

I assume that you all are uncaring people for the most part.  Just know that next time.  Do unto others and you would have them do unto you.  (aka…do you want me to treat you with such disregard too?  Because I can and may decide some day that my kind ways are over.)
