Music

I know I don’t talk much about music…but this post is all about it.

It may be strange, and I don’t know if this is how it is for everyone else in the world…but when I hear a beautiful piece of music I am moved. Sometimes to tears. It is one of the few things that can do that. Some movies occasionally will do that when I first see them, but usual it’s only the first time I see it. With music … it is every time. If anything makes me believe in heaven…it’s music. For instance…the song from the Lord of the Rings sound track called Twilight and Shadow, or really anything from that sound track. It’s really pure sounding. It’s music like that which inspires awe in me.

I imagine that if my soul had a sound, it would be “Evenstar” from LotR.

I want to be inspired most of all. I wish I could do the same for others, and maybe some day that will happen. I’m not much of a composer, but perhaps one day I will just sing divinely and inspire someone, even if it’s not my own piece I’ve created.

I just wish everyone could feel the peace inside that I do when hearing something like that. It would make mankind kinder. I think it’s true that music tames wild beasts, and we are the most wild of all.
