House!

Well as of this past Thursday, Chris and I are now home owners! It’s very exciting! It’s a four bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house, so this means we can have a guest room and then he and I both get our own work room (offices if you will). I am really pleased with it, and it’s also been a lot of fun painting it the colors we actually want. Yesterday, Meghan and I went out to Lowes to buy more paint and trim and such, well the great thing is that with all the stuff we bought (which was a lot) we paid only about half the amount it actually cost. Reason being is that the cashier was on a personal call and apparently was not paying attention. She gave me the total, and I knew it wasn’t right so I pointed out some items she missed, she finally got off the phone and “scanned” the items, but apparently it was not added to the bill for some reasons. I asked if she was sure that was the right amount and she was sure of it, so it worked out better for me I guess. We went back to the new house and started to work away on it after we had some dinner. Chris had gone to our apartment and picked up bedding so we wouldn’t have to drive all the way back there. I bet our cats are lonely! We haven’t been home much since we got the house…poor babies! I imagine that the painting will be done soon enough and once it is we’ll start moving more furniture over to the house and getting it set up as a house! woohoo! I am very happy about that, let me tell you. I really love this new place, especially since it is our very own. No one can just come in to do an inspection, nor can we here the neighbors get up to pee in the middle of the night…it’s wonderful.
