I’m back!

Well I am finally back! Since my last post I got married (Dec. 19th) and then for our honeymoon went to Japan (Dec. 25th-Jan. 5th). The wedding itself went smoothly for the most part. The only snags that happened were at the hotel the night/morning before. We stayed at a nice hotel downtown Houston so that we would be closer to the wedding venue. It was Chris, me, melody, and tom that stayed and here is what we encountered…
Earlier that day Meghan took me to pick up flowers for the wedding (for bouquets). When I got to the hotel with everyone, I sat around making bouquets and finishing the wedding favors, when I was done I put the flowers in the fridge to keep them fresh for the next day. I had done this many time at home and never had a problem. After this is when the problems began. First the toilet broke…which wasn’t too pleasant, but we dealt with it. We tried to call for service, but we were told tough luck it will have to wait till tomorrow. After this we tried to get some rest. At some point during the night the air conditioner would not stop running, so we all froze, and needless to say I hardly slept. The next thing that happened was that I got up during the night to use the bathroom (working toilet or no, when you have to go you have to go) I stepped in what felt like a water logged carpet…yuck. When we got up the next morning it was still freezing and the carpet was indeed wet, and wasn’t drying. The hot water was broken as well so everyone had freezing showers. Once again…joy. We aren’t done yet though my friends! The worst part was that when I opened up the fridge and took out all the flowers I had made into bouquets the night before (which took quite a bit of time mind you) were way too cold….something was wrong…they were frozen! When they started to thaw out, they wilted and were absolutely pathetic looking. Chris was really pissed too. Meghan came over in the morning, and they went to get more flowers…an emergency run if you will. I would have gone too, but I had to get myself ready for the wedding. I will give Chris this though, he picked out some lovely flowers! I was very pleased when he got back. I had just enough time to remake the bouquets. While I did this Chris went down and complained to the management about our horrible hotel stay and they gave us the room free in compensation. We then packed up everything and left the hotel for Sugarland (where the wedding venue was located). Oh yea and on the way there I wrote my vows on hotel stationary. I knew what I wanted to say, but I just hadn’t written it down yet lol.
